Vanessa Traina is probably known to most because of her mother novelist Danielle Steel. What you may not know is how she made her own mark in the fashion industry. Her mother may have led the way at first bringing her along to Paris Couture shows as a child, but it was all Vanessa when she made the leap from the west coast to New York City starting as an intern at French Vogue and building her career from there. To date she has built a pretty impressive resume including gigs as a consultant for labels like Balenciaga, a model for Louis Vuitton, and a stylist in her own right. Most recently Traina is the creative director for Line, a lifestyle e-commerce site with a curated selection of clothing,
furniture, and beauty essentials.
What makes Vanessa Traina so successful and a 'style icon' is the fact that she can 'talk the talk' and 'walk the walk'. She can style a photo-shoot and then dress herself for everyday life in the same aesthetic and chic approach. Here are some of my fave VT moments...
